The Durnstein doubles the room's light and its manners: low-distortion glass in oak, gesso or patinated brass, hung on hardware that takes masonry seriously.
Timber is bought whole, sawn to our own cutting lists and rested until it stops moving; only then is it allowed near a bench. What follows is patient joinery, hand-sanding through five grits, and a finish rubbed in coat by thin coat until the grain reads like handwriting.

Care
Dust with a soft dry cloth and feed the timber once or twice a year with the supplied hard-wax oil. Keep pieces out of direct radiator heat, wipe spills promptly, and let the finish develop its patina — it is the point, not a flaw. Our workshop offers refinishing and repair for the life of the piece.

How is art shipped?
In custom crates, insured door to wall; hanging and placement by our crew can be added in most EU cities.
What about fireplace installation?
Bioethanol and electric models install without a flue; our technicians handle placement, and gas models include certified installation.
